QV Melbourne Shopping Centre, also known as the Queen Victoria Village or even more simply as QV, is a classy shopping area in Melbourne CBD.
Situated close to the State Library and Melbourne Central with easy public transport access, QV has a large selections of boutique and department stores, a large supermarket for CBD standards, food court, apartment buildings, gallery, gym and even a medical centre. The centre is located in a historic spot in Melbourne. Take it easy after a long day exploring the city, peruse the boutiques or get your shopping done. You can surely find anything you need at QV. QV History
QV Melbourne Shopping Centre opened in 2003. Interestingly, the site of QV has quite a rich history. It used to be a hospital, the Melbourne Hospital which got renamed to the Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH). RMH has since relocated completely to Parkville in Melbourne. Over the past century, the Queen Victoria Hospital also occupied the site and hence this is where the name for the complex comes from.
